Norwood Cultural CouncilRaised the Council's profile and led its first mural
Norwood Cultural CouncilAs Co-Chair of the Norwood Cultural Council, I led efforts to raise the council's profile across town. I grew awareness through the council's social channels and out-of-home marketing for key programs and the grant cycle. I also built consistent media coverage, with at least three placements each in the Norwood Record and Norwood Community Media across the mural project and our annual grant cycle.
I also led the council's largest project to date: its first public mural, a nine-month effort from concept to unveiling. I built the project plan, ran the call-for-artist promotion that drew 10 submissions from local and national artists, and managed council members across fundraising and other roles, all while working with town officials to secure the necessary permits and support.
The result
- Grew council membership 80%, from five to nine members
- Secured $6K in donor funding, covering general operations, mural costs, and artist licensing for print sales, the council's first organized fundraising effort
- Unveiled the mural at Norwood Day, capped by a short documentary produced with Norwood Community Media
